About White Dragon Pearls

This premium Chinese tea is crafted from the delicate buds of young tea plants. The tea leaves are meticulously hand-rolled into small pearls that gently unfurl and bloom when steeped in a glass or teapot. The flavour of these smooth and exceptionally pure pearls is mild, floral, and sweet. This extraordinary tea can be infused multiple times and enjoys great popularity worldwide.

About White Dragon Pearls

White Dragon Pearls are cultivated in the high-altitude tea gardens of Fuding, Fujian, China, a region renowned for its ideal growing conditions. The mild, humid climate contributes to the outstanding quality of this tea. In the spring, often before sunrise, only the first tender tea leaves with the still-closed buds are handpicked and then processed using traditional methods.

Cultivation

After withering the pale buds shimmering with fine silver hairs, the tea (the traditional Fuding Da Bai Hao variety) is briefly blanched at medium heat on bamboo trays to immediately halt any fermentation, preserving the unique aroma of this specialty before being left to dry naturally. The result is an exceptionally light, refined white tea.

Effects

White tea is rich in antioxidants that can effectively protect cells from oxidative stress. The gentle character of this tea has a calming effect, helping to naturally reduce stress. Research suggests that white tea strengthens the cardiovascular system and supports the immune system, making it a valuable companion for a healthy lifestyle.

How to enjoy

Savour this fine tea in quiet moments in the morning or early afternoon. Its delicate, floral flavour pairs beautifully with light, sweet snacks like almond biscuits or citrus fruits, or with mild cheeses. The tea remains mild and pleasant even after multiple infusions, making it a wonderful companion for relaxed tea ceremonies.
