We adore Iced Tea and Cold Brew at AVANTCHA, which is why this category has been curated by our Tea Sommelier to offer a wealth of full-bodied flavour to enjoy all year round. Iced Tea is brewed hot, then poured over ice. Cold Brew is steeped slowly in cool or room temperature water, drawing out a different expression of the tea. Try both styles and enjoy it your way.
Everything you need to know for a perfect cup, in one place.
To make iced tea, brew the tea with boiling water and then pour over ice or chill in the fridge. For cold brew, steep the tea in cold water for several hours, resulting in a smoother, less astringent flavour.
Green, White, Oolong, and Black teas, as well as fruity herbal blends, work beautifully for iced tea. Lighter teas are perfect for cold brew, as they reveal their sweet, delicate notes when steeped in cool water.
Use high-quality teas and allow the infusion to cool fully before serving. With longer steeping times in cold water, natural sweetness develops, creating a rich flavour without any added sugar.
Homemade iced tea keeps up to three days in the fridge. Store it in a sealed glass bottle and keep it out of direct sunlight to preserve flavour and freshness.
