About Kagoshima

Cultivation & Processing
Matcha is a Tencha green tea ground into a fine powder, traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Renowned for its intense green colour and rich, sweet flavour, Tencha is made from tea bushes typically shaded three weeks before harvesting. This shading process results in delicate, dark green leaves. After harvesting, the tea leaves are steamed, deveined, dried, and meticulously ground into a fine powder that becomes Matcha.
Effects
This ultra-healthy beverage contains the nutritional equivalent of 10 cups of regular green tea and has been dubbed the 'ultimate superfood' by nutrition experts. The tea contains catechins, carotenes and vitamins A, B, C and E. The green powder is rich in the amino acid L-theanine, which promotes relaxation and reduces stress while providing long-lasting alertness. Matcha can also improve brain performance, concentration, memory and mood.
How to Enjoy
Organic Matcha Cocktail Grade Kagoshima is ideal for the morning or early afternoon and can be mixed into Matcha lattes, smoothies, ice cream, cookies, or used in baking.
To make an AVANTCHA-standard Matcha latte, use 2 Matcha Spoons (3g) of Organic Matcha.
Sift the Matcha powder into bowl or press whisk down several times to break up and loosen the powder.
Add 50ml of 70°C water and whisk briskly. Top up with 150ml of cold or hot frothed milk.
