About Moroccan Mint

This popular gunpowder Chinese green tea blended with Moroccan Nana mint is a true flavour experience and delightfully refreshing, standing out with its peppery-minty and cooling taste. In the Arab world, Moroccan mint tea is not just a drink, but also a symbol of hospitality. Offering tea with Moroccan Nana mint is an integral part of Moroccan culture and is also cherished in many other Arab countries.

About Peppermint

Peppermint is a medicinal and culinary plant from the mint family. It is believed to be a hybrid of Mentha aquatica and Mentha spicata that occurred by chance. The Arabic word for mint is "nana." Nana mint originates from North Africa and is particularly widespread in Morocco.

Cultivation

Gunpowder green tea is known for its special rolling technique, in which each tea leaf is rolled into small, tight pellets. This method protects the leaves from damage and preserves their freshness. Originally from the Zhejiang province, it is now produced in other parts of the world.

Effects

The medicinal plant peppermint is used to treat digestive issues, bloating, gallbladder problems, and irritable bowel syndrome. It also has a calming effect on tension headaches, colds, and nasal congestion. Peppermint is also used to relieve muscle and nerve pain. Gunpowder green tea contains numerous antioxidants that can fight free radicals, boost metabolism, and strengthen the immune system.

How to enjoy

Enjoy our green tea with Nana mint in the late afternoon or after a hearty meal, either on its own or slightly sweetened with honey. On hot days, it makes an excellent iced tea with a splash of lemon for a refreshing treat. This tea pairs wonderfully with oriental like baklava or a light couscous salad.
