About Forest Fruits Pu Erh

This Forest Fruits Pu Erh tea combines the earthy and distinct musky flavour of Pu Erh tea with sweet forest fruits, including blackberry leaves, elderberries, and red currants. A touch of strawberry and blackberry rounds off this flavourful tea, adding a pleasantly fruity note that harmoniously complements the robust character of Pu Erh tea.

About Pu Erh
Pu Erh tea is among the most precious and ancient teas in the world, highly prized by tea connoisseurs. Traditionally, Pu Erh tea is made from the leaves of the Qingmao tree, a plant that can grow up to 30 metres tall and live for more than 800 years. What sets it apart from other teas is its unique fermentation process, which often bestows a strong, complex flavour. Much like fine wine or aged cheese, Pu Erh tea undergoes a long maturation process, typically lasting between five and ten years, and even continues to develop further, deepening in character. Some of the most valuable varieties are aged for over 70 years, continually increasing in complexity.

Cultivation
This exceptional Pu Erh tea is sourced from the renowned tea gardens of the southwestern Yunnan province in China, where it is grown at an altitude of over 1,200 metres above sea level. These tea plantations are known for their excellent climatic conditions and fertile soils, which provide the perfect environment for cultivating high-quality Pu Erh tea with unique flavour profiles.

Effects
Pu Erh tea is credited with a variety of positive health benefits. It can help lower cholesterol levels, regulate blood pressure, and has a mild appetite-suppressing effect. In China, it is often appreciated as an aid for weight management. Its digestive benefits make it ideal after heavy meals, and its antioxidant properties contribute to the body's detoxification process.

How to Enjoy
This Forest Fruits Pu Erh tea is an excellent choice for an afternoon tea, paired with light snacks such as butter biscuits, oat cookies, or cinnamon rolls. With its fruity notes, this tea also makes a refreshing summer beverage when served iced and garnished with fresh berries or a splash of lemon juice.
