About Superior Qian Tan Dragon Well Long Jing

Our Superior Qian Tang Green Tea represents the vert best of a spring harvest. Sourced from a tea garden in the traditional growing area of Qian Tang, Zhejiang, near the West Lake and Yuezhou, the two other original growing regions of this world-renowned Chinese tea, this exquisite green tea offers an unparalleled experience. As you open the package, take a moment to inhale deeply, savouring the specialness of the occasion. The leaves of this Dragon Well Green Tea are elegant and flat, resembling long green spears, and exude a distinctive aroma of roasted chestnuts. The infusion yields a yellow-green hue with a silky taste, offering a nutty sweetness that unfolds into a deep umami flavour.

About Long Jing

Long Jing is a roasted green tea from the area around the village of Longjing near Hangzhou in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang. There are various definitions of Longjing; a common one is that real Longjing must at least come from the province of Zhejiang in China.

Cultivation

Like most other Chinese green teas, Longjing leaves are roasted directly after picking to prevent the natural oxidation processes that occur in the production of black and oolong teas. Long Jing teas develop a high amount of L-theanine due to the unique soils and special climate, giving them a mild, fruity taste. The labour-intensive harvesting and processing of the tea are done entirely by hand.

Effects

In traditional Chinese medicine, Long Jing is known for its detoxifying effects. It is said to improve concentration and relieve fatigue. Additionally, Long Jing contains many antioxidants that strengthen the immune system and protect the body from harmful free radicals.
