Cultivation
Earl Grey is typically made with black tea from India or Sri Lanka. However, these hand-rolled pearls are made from spring leaves from the Yunnan gardens in China, grown by Mr. Yang. Yunnan is the largest tea-growing region in China, located in the southern central part of the country, bordering Burma and Vietnam. The hilly terrain is known for black tea varieties like China Golden Yunnan, Yunnan Black Pearls, and Yunnan Golden Buds. These teas have a mild and smooth flavour that doesn’t become bitter.
